Background: This project was given originally as a prompt for the University of Oregon's annual Creative Week in NYC class competition. Together my team and I took this brief and created a complete campaign. The brief was centered around the Broadway play, Come From Away. In the play it follows 38 planes that were redirected to Gander, Newfoundland in the wake of 9/11. The play focuses on the kindness the passengers received from the residents of the town.
Challenge: How to create a campaign that would teach high school students not only the giving spirit of Gander, Newfoundland, but how to keep them off their cellphones and connect with others around them.
Solution: Create an assembly experience that will inspire students through an immersive video and volunteer activities.
The Team and Clients
After only four days of preparation time, our team finalized and presented our deck to our clients. Luckily they were thrilled with the idea and decided to award us first place and a prize. The prize being free tickets to the new show, Come From Away.
